Hello everyone! I'm so glad you're here.
It's been a while since I posted on this blog, and I've missed it. It doesn't feel like its been long, but its been
checks posts

Eight months?! 🤦♀️ Oh well, time flies when you're busy I suppose. This blog originally started as a college project for my Social Media Marketing program. My profs loved it and I continued using it for assignments. But when I no longer had any blog related assignments, it fell to the side, a project I would maybe get back to when I finished school.
I graduated in October of 2024 ( with honours, I must add 😌) and slowly started focusing on freelance work in order to feed my book addiction. And the blog and it's socials fell further and further to the side as something I might come back to.

Starting up again
That brings us to March 2025. I haven't been able to stop thinking about this blog. I've wanted to write again and dive deep into queer literature, but a couple things held me back.
The book I've been reading since October wasn't queer (turns out work makes it hard to do the things you love sometimes)
and
I decided to do a low-buy year for 2025. That means prioritizing thrifting and second hand before buying new.
The good news is, I have three queer books that I bought last year (2024) that are unread and unreviewed. But after that, it's off to the library and second hand stores in my area. It will be a fun adventure to try and dig up some LGBTQIA+ reads It will be great to bring you guys along on Instagram & TikTok as I do! So make sure you're following me there as well.
It will also be a test to see if my local libraries are really all that inclusive in the books they carry. I am Canadian, but maybe I have my expectations higher than I should?
Finally, with all the turmoil in the USA, I want to help make sure Queer books remain accessible everywhere. If making a couple blogs and social posts can help someone find queer titles, I want to keep going. I also want to highlight the amazing authors who write LGBTQ+ books across genres and who keep writing despite the world trying to keep queer folk in the margins.
So yeah! Welcome back! Here's to a very gay 2025. Let's get reading!
